HOLMEN – A SATISFIED CUSTOMER IS THE BEST AD

Holmen Paper’s Hallstavik mill implemented Teknosavo’s WoodSmart™ technology in 2018. By the solution the quality of the debarking and the wood material delivered to the process uniformed. At the same time, amount of wood losses and needed wood amount was reduced, and production quality improved. These results accelerated the company’s decision to also implement the technology in its other mills.

Holmen Braviken’s WoodSmart™ was installed and put into operation in October 2021. This was the company’s second mill who invested in Teknosavo’s technology. The solution was implemented with a target of reduction of wood procurement requirements, as well as the quality and efficiency improvements of production. The investment was based on the positive experiences gained from the line installed in Hallstavik:

“Wood waste has been significantly reduced because the bark content of the wood chips has remained low and the energy consumption of the drum motors per tonne of bark has decreased,” said Process Engineer Lars-Håkan Jansson from Holmen’s Hallstavik mill shortly after the installation of WoodSmart in 2019. The same has happened in Braviken.
